A very informative post which does highlight how diverse translation can be for mankind. As the world these days is more interactive with the accessibility of the internet and many exposure to different languages so a translation tool becomes a service that seems here to stay. I really like the blog keep up the good work.

I'm trying to help address the distribution of Christian materials via phones with the project I have felt God's call to do, at www.phonepublish.org - software that takes Christian literature and publishes it as an app (and mobile website) for low end basic phones as used across the developing world. Going forward it will also support the more sophisticated touch screen phones more used in the richer parts of the world. It will also support audio and video too.

Running the Race 2012 - chance for those of you who live in the UK to raise funds for Wycliffe and Bible translation.

This is a partnership event organised by MAF. Other Christian mission agencies working overseas however are invited to be a part of this event and are welcome to take part with runners raising funds for their chosen mission.

Wycliffe were involved last year and managed to raise over £1000 with only a handfull of people running.

This year there will be two races: a 10K and a 6K with the shorter event being open to walkers or runners.

Date: 15th September 2012
Venue: Strathclyde Park, Hamilton, Scotland

If you are interested look out for more information in due course or contact david_gilchrist to notify me of your interest and I'll keep in touch with you about arrangements.
