Use Your Existing Skills
Use your skills and experience to support Bible translation: 1 year
Do you want to make a significant difference to one or more Bible translation projects? Ever thought of transferring your professional skills and experience to a foreign country?
The reality is that the majority of opportunities to serve with Wycliffe overseas are in non-language related assignments. There are hundreds of opportunities worldwide to make a real difference to the task of Bible translation through serving in practical support roles.
You would receive some general training for living and working overseas from the European Training Programme, before heading off to an assignment somewhere in the world.
Teachers and IT staff are particular needs at the moment, but it's likely that whatever your professional experience there will be somewhere in the world that your skills are required. You can find out more information about what some of the roles would involve here:
If you are wanting to commit to between 6 weeks and a year, you would go overseas as part of the One to One programme. For longer-term commitment you would become a full Wycliffe UK member.
If you are a committed Christian and want to know more about the needs and where you might be able to fit in, please contact us and we'd be delighted to talk with you.
