Following the previous edition of Words for Life, many readers have
sent us their favourite verses as part of the
My Favourite Verse campaign, and shared the blessing they
have received. Thank you!
We want to share these
testimonies as widely as possible, so that more people
will realise that the Bible is as relevant today as ever, and
will want to feed on God’s word.
This magazine presents the top 5 verses with comments
from the people who sent them, the verses chosen by some
well known people, and stories of people overseas who have
heard God speaking through a verse in their language. Their
deepest needs—for love, encouragement, comfort, peace,
wisdom—have been met through God’s word.
Millions of other people around the world do not have our
privilege, but “God our Saviour wants everyone to be saved
and to understand the truth.” 1Timothy 2:4. Will you help
them to have God’s word in their language, understand the
gospel and be saved?
