Scripture for Nigeria
How is From Eden to Eternity helping make scripture available?
From Eden to Eternity is a dramatic celebration of all the wonderful things God has for us in his word. But it isn’t just for those of us who speak English. Everyone needs God’s story!
People attending the show will be given the opportunity to sponsor a verse of translation for the Koro people of Nigeria. Meet Baba Duya, who is the lead translator for the Duya translation.
Baba Duya is one of 200,000 Koro people who live about an hour’s drive north of Abuja, the capital of Nigeria. They speak one of four languages—Ashe, Duya, Nyenkpa and Wachi. Most of the people call themselves Christian, but in the churches the trade language Hausa is used, which many local people don’t understand well. It is crucial that they have scriptures in the language that makes God’s message of love easy to understand and apply in their lives.
Give online to the Koro project by credit or debit card
Alternatively, you can give by texting VERSE to 70007. Texts will cost £9 plus standard network charge. A minimum of £7.92 will go to Wycliffe Bible Translators towards the Koro project.*
If you have been to the show, and already sponsored a verse, thank you for helping change the lives of the Koro people!
Watch a short message from Peter Dogo, the translator for Ashe, one of the 4 Koro Languages saying thank you.
