From Eden to Eternity
The show with no end and no beginning
(all over in about one hour)
From Eden to Eternity (a Wycliffe UK and Saltmine Theatre Company partnership) takes the audience on a whistle-stop tour of the Bible in about 75 minutes. Covering a few of the key incidents in the Bible story with just four actors, it’s a bit like watching the Reduced Shakespeare Company perform. The action is fast paced and the script is lively, often funny, but also deals with sections like God’s request that Abraham sacrifice his son Isaac with seriousness and power. Lots of parts you will recognise and no doubt appreciate the fresh approach to presenting the story of the Bible.
The evening will also include a short presentation from Wycliffe Bible Translators sharing about 2000+ languages in the world that don’t have a single word of scripture. For those people the story of the Bible is completely dead. There will also be an opportunity to get involved in providing translated scripture for the Koro cluster of 4 languages in Nigeria.
People who have previously seen this show have been treated to a wonderfully illustrative production of the Bible story as well as having the chance to contribute directly to an ongoing translation project. This is what they had to say about it.
