You are not too young!
13s-18s getting excited about Bible translation

The Bible is full of amazing young people: David took on Goliath when he was around 17 years old (1 Sam 17); a small boy offered his handful of bread and fish so that Jesus could feed thousands (John 6); and there were young Kings like Josiah who was eight when his reign began and the Bible says, ‘He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord…’
You may be excited about the idea of mission but not know how you can be involved at the moment. Please don’t make the mistake of thinking mission is something you have to wait until you’re older to be a part of.
Here are some ways you could make an impact:
Pray – When Jesus was looking at the work that needs to be done, the first thing he told his disciples to do was pray (Matt 9:35-38). Here are some resources to help you pray.
Give – There are different ways you could give to mission. One brilliant way is to get your family and friends to ‘Give as you Live’.
Go – Is your youth group interested in going somewhere? We have experience with running short trips to Africa and would be happy consult with a youth leader about how to take teenagers overseas. (You can contact us about this at askus@wycliffe.org).
Tell – Help us to spread the word that there are over 200 million people speaking almost 2,000 languages who still don’t have any of the Bible in their mother tongue. The more that know about the needs of these people, the more there will be who can join in with what God is doing to reach them!
