But huge progress is being made:

4,473 languages where work is currently in progress (up 16 from last month)
There are 1,680 languages that have no Scripture and no work in progress at the moment. Of these, 550 languages (spoken by 38.5 million people) are considered vital enough for communities to sustain and benefit from translation work.
