New Wine and Wycliffe are partnering with Ishmael Jesse and his team of Bible translators in Nigeria. Our aim is to help bring God’s word to the communities of the Akye, Jibyal, Nteng, Shang and Zhire people from the Jos region in Nigeria for the first time in their history. That’s over 30,000 people!
Starting by translating parts of Mark’s Gospel through interactive workshops, members of each community will receive accredited translator training – plus local and national church support – to help them translate the whole Gospel of Mark over the next year.
It’s amazing! Effectively they will be Making a Mark in history – enabling generations of people to receive, understand and engage with Scripture in the language that speaks to them best.
