Mission Partner Applications Coordinator

Anna Bishop

Anna is passionate about encouraging and inspiring people to serve in the ministry of Bible translation.

Anna says: ‘Having the Bible is foundational to everything else in world mission.’ 

Anna started her journey with Wycliffe on a translation programme in Niger, West Africa. Her role is now caring for Wycliffe mission partners and mobilising people from the UK and Ireland to serve in Bible translation. 

Anna has also worked in church planting, as the minister for world mission at All Souls Church Langham Place, London, and as a policy maker in Whitehall. She has studied Theology, Missiology, French, Arabic, Human Resources, and Conflict Mediation. She is currently training as a spiritual director. Anna lives in Oxford.

Cameron Kennedy

Cameron is passionate about connecting supporters of Wycliffe with the impact their giving and praying is having around the world.

Cameron says: ‘I listen to my audio Bible every morning while getting ready for my day. But I know so many people still don’t have access to the Bible in a language that they fully understand. Without God’s word and guidance I would be lost. So it is important to me that all people have the opportunity to know Jesus through the Bible in their language.’

Cameron joined Wycliffe in 2024. Before that she worked in customer services for a number of years, alongside voluntary roles at her local Church. She moved to Oxford, with her husband Matthew, to join Wycliffe. Now she is able to use her experience of helping customers, alongside her passion to see lives transformed through the Bible. 

Her favourite part of her job is speaking to supporters on the phone – learning through their experiences. And being inspired by their zeal for the work of Bible translation.

Mark Andrews

Mark is passionate about working alongside Wycliffe’s generous supporters as they make such a difference through their giving and praying.

He says: ‘I want to help supporters experience joy in seeing lives transformed by knowing Jesus through God’s word, which is “living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.”’ (Hebrews 4:12)

Mark worked in the computer industry for 38 years. He then joined Wycliffe so he could be involved in a mission central to his life. Mark and his wife have three children, and they are members of a church in Thame.

Matt Smith

Matt is passionate about enabling supporters to give to the causes closest to their heart and to become equipped to partner in mission for generations to come.

Matt says: ‘Reaching unreached people with the good news of Jesus and equipping the local church worldwide is something that I am passionate about. I love connecting with others who share this passion and developing new opportunities with them to see mission thrive and grow.’

Matt works to develop our growing legacy programme and manages key projects for Wycliffe. Before joining Wycliffe, Matt worked in fundraising for another Christian charity. 

Matt and his wife have two young daughters, and he and his family are part of a church in Cardiff.

Josiah Dye

Josiah is passionate about everyone getting the Bible in their language and the huge difference which is made to this work by people leaving gifts for it in their Wills.

Josiah says: ‘I want everyone to know the deep closeness of Jesus through God’s word. The Gospels and Psalms speak the most to me. And I want them to speak as deeply to others as well.’

Josiah first started working in the charity sector in 2023 for CMS (Church Mission Society) as a church and supporter care officer. Now he enjoys working at Wycliffe Bible Translators.

Josiah’s wife Jess works in the Supporter Care team at Wycliffe, and they enjoy attending a church in Oxford. Josiah is a huge fan of Marvel movies.

Lowri Turner

Lowri is passionate about people experiencing the joy of reading the Bible in their  own languages. 

Lowri says: ‘The Bible tells us that God’s word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). I know how my life has been illuminated through reading the Bible, and it is such a pleasure to have a front row seat as Wycliffe works to give others that same opportunity. As a first-language Welsh speaker, I’ve experienced the deep joy of reading the Bible in the language I know best. And I love seeing others do the same’. 

Lowri is married to Simeon, and they live in Bolton with their two young daughters. Simeon is a Minister and Lowri is heavily involved in church life. Lowri has worked for almost 20 years for both Christian and non-faith-based charities. She is passionate about connecting enthusiastic donors with a cause that speaks to their hearts.

Jess Dye

Jess is passionate about ensuring supporters of Bible translation are being well cared for. Enabling more people to know Jesus through the Bible starts with caring for our supporters, who are faithfully supporting the translation work. Being able to provide this care brings her great joy.

Jess says: ‘I love being able to help others in whatever their need may be. One of my favourite things about working at Wycliffe is hearing the testimonies of our supporters about how God has been faithful, and also praying with them.’

Before joining Wycliffe Jess studied Theology and Worship at the London School of Theology. There she was the student mission secretary for a year, helping students get involved and learn more about mission. Jess’ husband Josiah works in the Gifts in Wills team at Wycliffe. They are part of a church in Oxford.

Hugh Stacey

Hugh is passionate about people being able to understand and be changed through reading the Bible for themselves.

Hugh says: ‘During a mission trip, when reading 1 John 4:18 – “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love” – I discovered how fear was limiting the way I related to others. This discovery changed the way I viewed risk and living for Christ. This shaped a lot of the decisions I have made throughout my adult life and I believe that all believers should be able to have life-changing encounters with God through independent Bible study – and Bible translation is how to make that a reality.’

Before joining Wycliffe, Hugh worked with many Christian children’s charities in the US and Honduras. During the nine years spent working in Honduras, he met his wife, Cinthia, and they had their daughter, Letty.

Tabitha Doey

Tabitha is passionate about the difference that having the Bible in people’s languages makes to individual lives and whole communities.

She says: ‘I love that when people from minority-language communities find out that God can speak to them in their own language, their lives are transformed!’

Tabitha originally studied linguistics. She then worked as an archivist. She taught English to speakers of other languages, and spent time working for the London Transport Museum.

Tabitha and her husband belong to a church in Swansea.
