We are pleased to invite you to our next Wycliffe Bitesize on Monday 16 March from 7–8pm.
Wycliffe Bitesize events are short, online webinars, and are specifically designed for anyone who is considering opportunities to serve with Wycliffe. At each event you will hear from someone in Wycliffe about a particular role or part of a translation programme. And there’s always plenty of time for questions.
In this Bitesize
In this Bitesize, Dr John Ommani will talk about trauma healing groups.
Trauma cuts across nationality, gender, age, social class, and race. Because we live in a fallen world, we all experience the brokenness and pain that come from the fall. And it is often a big part of life in the minority communities we serve.
Join us to find out how trauma healing groups can help people find a safe space where they can be heard, understood, and supported as they engage deeply with the word of God, and experience true transformation.
Our speaker, Dr Ommani, leads Scripture engagement for Wycliffe’s primary partner organisation. He worked with the team that developed the book Healing the Wounds of Trauma: How the Church Can Help, and he facilitates classic trauma healing, the children’s programme, story-based trauma healing, and the teens’ version.
