‘A wonderful experience in a wonderful country, learning more about our wonderful God. And I got a really full insight into Bible translation work – I cherish the time that God gave me serving with Wycliffe.’

James Gourley

Shorter-term mission opportunities are open to people at any stage of life. Whether it’s from a few weeks to up to two years, you can help more people get to know Jesus through the Bible. Each opportunity is designed to match people with diverse skills to specific needs around the world.

You could be involved in:

  • linguistics
  • administration
  • developing software
  • IT technical support
  • helping with childcare
  • finance
  • project management
  • and many more roles.

You will be challenged and stretched as you serve God and assist team members in doing their jobs, either in a village or an urban setting. Experience life in a very different culture. Grow in your relationship with God. Make a difference. We are delighted to explore opportunities for a university language student year out or Bible college placement.

You will serve alongside long-term Wycliffe mission partners, supporting them as they serve with their local teams in the country they are based in. Mission partners take assignments with partner organisations of Wycliffe, who provide community, support and supervision. The Wycliffe community is made up of 300–400 people – and includes those working in Bible translation ministry, their children, and retired workers. (Note: some mission partners are based in the UK and Ireland and work with either local teams or virtual teams around the world.)

Get in touch with us here – we would love to hear from you, as there are many ways you can be involved.
